Veal Brisket

Ingredients

1 1/2 kg (3 pounds) boneless veal breast
3-4 Tbs. flour
salt
black pepper
80 g ( 2 2/3 oz., 1/3 cup) butter
7-8 dl (3 cups) boiling water
1/2 bay leaf
1 tsp. dried thyme
20 tiny onions, peeled
carrots, in chunks

Instructions

1) Remove veins and glands from the veal. Wash and dry. Cut into serving pieces.

2) Dip in flour mixed with salt and pepper, then brown in butter.

3) Transfer the meat to a pot. Add boiling water to cover.

4) Add seasonings. Cover and simmer until tender, about 90 minutes.

5) After 75 minutes, add onions and carrots and cook until tender. Season, if necessary.

6) Serve in the cooking liquid with mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
