Thick Lefse

Ingredients

6 dl (2 1/2 cups) buttermilk
4 dl (1 2/3 cups) sugar
200 g (7 oz., 2 dl, 3/4 cup) butter, melted
2 Tbs. hornsalt (or 6 Tbs. baking powder)
flour

Instructions

1) Combine all ingredients with enough flour to make a stiff dough.

2) Divide into pieces of equal size and roll out to 5 mm (1/5") thick sheets. Cut out, using a dish as a guide.

3) Cook on a grill or in a skillet on both sides.

4) Sandwich 2 lefse with butter beaten with sugar. Cut into wedges.
