Tony and I discovered this dish years ago when in Mexico – spicy and yummy with salad; hot baguettes; (Tony loves to dunk the bread in the sauce) green salad and red beans and rice!!
Ingredients
3/4 cup barbecue sauce 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 1/4 fresh lemon juice 1 tbs. Worcester sauce 1 tbs. Honey 1/2 tsp. Kosher or pink Salt 1 tbs. fresh ground black pepper 3 garlic cloves - minced 2 tsp. Paprika 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. Dried Basil 1 tsp. Dried Rosemary 2 tsp. Crushed Dried Red Peppers 1 lb. Shrimp - peeled and deveined Butter/olive oil mix for frying
Instructions
1) In a blender, on high speed combine all ingredients except the shrimp and butter/olive oil mix.
2) Pour into saucepan and heat gently - DO NOT BOIL
3) Heat butter/olive oil mix in frying pan over medium heat.
4) Add shrimp and sautée for 3 to 4 minutes (depending on size) on both sides.
5) Serve immediately with sauce, red beans and rice; salad and warm baguette. Enjoy!!
