8 pork and herb sausages 13oz/375g pack puff pastry 4oz/100g mature Cheddar cheese, grated beaten egg to glaze
Instructions
1) Cook sausages then cool.
2) Roll out pastry thinly. Sprinkle half with finely grated cheese. Fold unsprinkled half over to enclose, sealing the edges with water. Roll out again thinly and cut pastry into 1/2in/1cm strips.
3) Wrap strips around sausages with the pastry overlapping. Place on a baking sheet with the ends of the pastry underneath. Brush with egg.
4) Bake at 400F, 200C for 15 minutes, or until pastry is crisp and golden.
