Roe Patties

Ingredients

2 large cod roe, about 750 g (1 2/3 pounds)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
about 4 dl (1 2/3 cups) full fat milk
1 dl (1/2 cup) flour
butter
brown gravy

Instructions

1) Clean and dry the roe. Scrape the roe out of the sacs.

2) Add the remaining ingredients to form a medium-firm mass.

3) Form into 6-8 patties and fry in browned butter, about 3 minutes per side.

4) Simmer 2-3 minutes in brown gravy.

5) Serve in the gravy with creamed cabbage and boiled potatoes.
