Ingredients

1 liter (quart) full fat milk
250 g (8 oz., 1 cup) butter
1 kg (2 1/4 pounds, 16 3/4 dl, 7 cups) flour
4 Tbs. (1/4 cup) 35% fat sour cream
1 egg yolk

Instructions

1) Bring the milk to a boil. Add the butter. When the butter is melted, pour over the flour.

2) Add sour cream and egg and mix well.

3) Cover and refrigerate overnight.

4) Divide the dough into pieces of equal size. Roll out into thin sheets and cook on a griddle on both sides.

5) When cold, spread with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Cut into diamonds.
