Fried Fish Cakes

Ingredients

1 kg(2 1/4 pounds) skinless, boneless haddock fillets
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. potato starch
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 dl (3/4 cup) full fat milk
150 g (5oz.) bacon cubes
flour
butter
1 liter (quart) prepared brown gravy

Instructions

1) Ground the fish with the salt 3 times. During the last grinding, add the potato starch.

2) Add the nutmeg and gradually add the milk, stirring well.

3) Form into 12 oval cakes and fill each with bacon.

4) Dip in flour and fry on three sides in butter over medium heat.

5) Simmer in brown gravy until done, about 3 minutes. Serve in the gravy.

6) Serve with boiled potatoes and vegetables. Enjoy!
