3 1/2 dl (1 1/2 cups) full fat milk 50 g (1 3/4 oz.) fresh yeast 125 g (4 oz., 1/2 cup) butter 500 g (18 oz., 8 1/4 dl, 3 1/2 cups) flour 90 g (3 oz., 1 dl, scant 1/2 cup) sugar 1/2 tsp. cardamom Filling and topping: melted butter 1-2 Tbs. sugar 1-2 tsp. cinnamon 1 egg, beaten pearl sugar
Instructions
1) Heat the milk to lukewarm and stir in the yeast. Melt the butter and add.
2) Combine flour, sugar and cardamom.Add milk mixture and knead to form a firm dough. Let rise.
3) Knead the dough and roll out into a rectangular sheet.
4) Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
5) Roll up. Cut with a sharp knife into 2 cm (1") slices. Place on a greased baking sheet. rush with beaten egg, then sprinkle with pearl sugar. Let rise 10-15 minutes.
6) Preheat the oven to 225 C (425 F). Bake 10 minutes. Cool on a rack.
