Berlin Wreaths
Ingredients
2 hard-cooked egg yolks
2 raw egg yolks
1 dl (scant 1/2 cup) sugar
250 g (8 oz.,1 cup) butter
about 350 g (10 oz.,5 3/4 dl, 2 1/2 cups) flour
1 egg white, lightly beaten
pearl sugar
Instructions
1)
Preheat the oven to 190 C (375 F).

Mash cooked and raw egg yolks together.
3)
Add sugar and beat until light and lemon-colored.
4)
Add butter and flour alternately. The dough should not be too stiff.
5)
Roll the dough into 8 mm (1/3") thick sausages. Cut into 12 cm (5") lengths and form into wreaths.
6)
Place on a greased baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle with pearl sugar.
7)
Bake about 10 minutes.
