Beef And Cabbage Casserole

Ingredients

1 1/2 kg (3 pounds) cabbage
5 dl (2 cups) clear stock flavored with pepper
750 g ( 1 2/3 pounds) ground beef
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 Tbs. flour
2 Tbs. potato starch
1 egg
butter
3 dl (1 1/4 cups) water
flour

Instructions

1) Cut the cabbage into 3 cm (1 1/4") cubes. Place in a pot and add the stock.

2) Combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, flour, potato starch and egg.

3) Form 2 loves. Brown on all sides in butter, then place on the bed of cabbage.

4) Deglaze the pan with water and pour over the meat.

5) Bring to a boil, lower the heat and simmer until the cabbage turns light brown, about 45 minutes.

6) Thicken with flour stirred into a small amount of cold water, if desired. Count on 3 1/2 Tbs. flour per 5 dl (2 cups) liquid.

7) Serve with boiled potatoes and lingonberry compote. Enjoy!
