Patterned Cookies

Ingredients

1 liter (quart) 35% fat sour cream
1 liter (quart) full fat milk
1 liter (quart) barley flour

Instructions

1) A pastry scraper with a comb edge is needed for these cookies.

2) Combine sour cream and milk. Add barley flour. The batter should be thick enough for the combing effect to remain.

3) Place a spoonful of batter on a lefse (see those pages for recipes) and spread it to the edges. Make with the comb.

4) Fry on a griddle until golden.
