Potato-Bacon Casserole

Ingredients

1 kg (2 1/4 pounds, about 5 large) potatoes
1 tsp. salt
1 dl (scant 1/2 cup) barley flour
about 2 dl (3/4 cup) full fat milk
about 400 g (14 oz.) bacon, thinly sliced

Instructions

1) Preheat the oven to 175 C (350 F).

2) Wash and peel the potatoes. Grate.

3) Combine with salt and flour. Stir in the milk. The mixture should be fairly loose.

4) Pour into a greased 1 1/2-2 liter ovenproof dish.

5) Smooth the top with a rubber spatula. Top with bacon slices.

6) Bake on the lowest oven shelf about 45 minutes.
